Privacy

I run this practice myself, so this is written plainly rather than in legal boilerplate. It says what I collect, why I have it, who else touches it, and how to get it removed.

Who this is

Not Just A Coach is the practice of Yvette Rose, based in Malibu, California. If you want anything on this page acted on, email me@yvetterose.com and it comes to me, not a support queue.

What I collect, and why

If you join the list

Your email address, and your name and location if you give them. I use these to send you The Weekly Note and things related to what you signed up for. You can unsubscribe from any email and that is the end of it.

If you buy from me

Payment is handled by Stripe, not by me. They take your payment details and I never see your card number. I receive your email address and the fact that you bought, which is what lets me send you your access.

If you order the printed workbook, your name, shipping address, phone number and email go to Lulu, who print and ship it. The phone number is required by their carriers.

The homepage shows the latest posts from the AI Yvette Instagram account through Behold. Your browser loads those posts and images from Behold, which sees your IP address the way any website does. No cookies are set and nothing you type is sent.

If you book a session or work with me

When you book, Cal.com takes your name, email and the time you chose, and adds the session to my Google Calendar with a Google Meet link. If you work with me one to one, your coaching agreement, intake, birth details and my session notes are kept in Practice Better, a secure platform built for health practitioners, rather than in email.

If you take the quiz

Your answers, and your email if you choose to give it. Answers are used to give you your result and to understand which starting points people land on.

If you use AI Yvette

AI Yvette is an AI assistant. The questions you type are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the answer. Please do not type anything into it you would not want leaving your own device, and treat it as education rather than a place for medical detail. If you try AI Yvette before signing in, a small cookie counts your 3 free questions. It holds nothing about you and expires after 30 days.

Everything you write in the workbook itself, including your notes, your tick boxes and your journaling, is stored by your own browser on your own device. It is not sent to me and I cannot read it. Clearing your browser data will erase it, and I have no copy to restore.

If you send birth details for a chart

Your birth date, time and place. I use these only to prepare your chart and I do not share them with anyone.

If you just visit

Standard analytics: the pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you used, and how you arrived. This is measured in aggregate. I am looking at whether a page works, not at you.

Health and other sensitive information

Some of what you tell me is health information, and some of it is personal in the older sense of the word. What you eat, how you sleep, your cycle, what happened to you. I treat all of it as sensitive. It is never sold, never traded, and never used to target advertising at you. I am a coach and a teacher rather than a licensed medical provider, so this information does not sit under HIPAA the way it would at a doctor's office. That is exactly why I keep so little of it and hold what I do keep closely.

Who else touches your information

I use a small number of established services to run this. Each has its own privacy policy, and each only receives what it needs to do its job.

ServiceWhat it does
KlaviyoHolds the email list and sends the emails
StripeTakes payment for the workbook, the membership and coaching
NetlifyHosts the site
AnthropicGenerates the AI Yvette answers
Cal.comSchedules sessions
LuluPrints and ships the printed workbook
BeholdShows the latest Instagram posts on the homepage
Google WorkspaceCalendar, Google Meet video sessions and email
Practice BetterClient records, agreements and session notes
Google AnalyticsMeasures how the site is used
MetaMeasures whether an advert led to a visit or a sale

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as California defines those terms. I have never done this and have no plans to.

Cookies and tracking

There are 2 kinds on this site. The first keeps the site working and remembers the cookie choice you made. It holds nothing about who you are and is always on. The second is measurement and advertising: Google Analytics, so I can see which pages are actually read, the Meta pixel, so I can tell whether an advertisement was worth running, and Klaviyo's onsite script, which notices what a subscriber browses.

The second kind does not load until you press Accept. Not throttled, not anonymized. Not on the page at all. If you decline, or simply ignore the panel, nothing about your visit reaches Google, Meta or Klaviyo. Nothing here is required to read the site, buy the workbook or join the list.

You can change your mind whenever you like: open your cookie choices, or clear this site's cookies and you will be asked again. Google and Meta also gather information about people across the other sites they work with, which their own policies govern. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Analytics, and Meta's ad preferences live in your own Facebook or Instagram settings.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

California law asks me to say how this site answers browser privacy signals, so here it is without hedging. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, or the older Do Not Track signal, I read it as a no. Measurement and advertising never load, nothing about your visit goes to Google, Meta or Klaviyo, and you are not asked to choose, because your browser already chose for you. Brave sends this signal as standard, Firefox can be set to, and there is an extension for Chrome and Safari. If you want something beyond that, email me and I will do it by hand.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me to tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for asking. If you are in the UK or EU, the GDPR gives you broadly the same rights plus the right to a copy of your data and the right to object to how it is used.

Californians also have the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit how sensitive information is used. I do not sell your information and never have. The one case where information about your visit is shared for advertising is the Meta pixel, and that only runs if you press Accept, so declining the cookie panel, or sending Global Privacy Control, is the opt out.

The way to use any of these is the same: email me@yvetterose.com and say what you want done. I will not ask you to justify it, and there is no form. I will need to be reasonably sure you are you before I delete or hand over anything, which usually means replying from the address I hold. If somebody is asking on your behalf, tell me who they are and I will check with you. I answer within 45 days, which is the California deadline, and in practice within the week.

How long I keep things

Children

This practice is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given me something, email me and I will delete it.

A word on what this is not

Everything on this site, in the workbook, and from AI Yvette is educational. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not create a doctor and patient relationship. For anything to do with a symptom, a medication, a pregnancy or a diagnosed condition, please talk to your own doctor or practitioner.

Changes

If I change how any of this works, I will change this page and update the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on my list, I will tell you in an email rather than quietly editing.
